This week, the Power Puff Girls worked to conclude some testing. The testing showed that the nanoparticles, or in this case, iron oxide shavings, were able to collect on the magnets, but not the quantity desired. Further explanation of the testing can be seen in the previous post.

From there, the Girls worked on developing ways to generating more turbulence flow. Jeannette and Jennifer worked on coming up with ideas for potential turbulence apparatuses. Esther and Emily continued the COMSOL modelling and were able to represent the flow in a spiraled tubing. The models can be seen in figures 1 and 2. For future testing and modeling, Jennifer and Jeannette are working to generate a more accurate testing method and apparatus. Also, Emily and Esther will continue to model the different tube designs  as well as the magnet position in COMSOL.
